SULFUR (SULPHUR)
Sulfur is one of the most important agricultural and industrial raw materials and is considered a strategic product. It is an odorless, tasteless, and polyvalent non-metal, typically found in the form of yellow crystals. Sulfur occurs naturally in the environment and is the thirteenth most abundant element in the Earth’s crust. While it can be mined in its natural form, this method has declined significantly, accounting for less than %2 of global production. Today, most elemental sulfur is recovered as a co-product from oil and gas processing during the refining and sweetening processes.
